Glenwood wrestlers take loss in Delta
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
DELTA, Colorado – Down a couple bodies due to illness, Glenwood Springs couldn’t push past host Delta in a Wednesday wrestling dual.
Despite big wins by 130-pounder Vincent Tsosie and 152-pounder Tanner Gianinetti, the Demons lost by a 49-30 count.
Both Tsosie and Gianinetti scored pins, the former’s coming midway through the second period and the latter in the final minute of his match.
Regardless, Glenwood fell shy of a team triumph.
“You know, we had a couple kids sick this week,” Demons assistant coach Miles Cook said. “Had those two been here, it might have been different. But [Delta] was just a better team tonight. We’ll just come out next time and keep battling.”
Glenwood will be back on the road Saturday for the West Grand Invitational.
