Grand Valley scores 26 unanswered to top Roaring Fork

PARACHUTE, Colorado – Grand Valley scored 26 unanswered points in the third quarter to sneak away with a 32-27 football win over visiting Roaring Fork on Friday.

The young Rams went into halftime with a 21-6 lead.

Cesar Farrias led Roaring Fork (1-6 overall, 1-3 in the 2A Western Slope League) with 166 yards rushing. No stats were available for Grand Valley at press time.

The Cardinals improved to 5-2 overall and to 2-2 in the 2A WSL.

ASPEN, Colorado – Olathe made a statement that it’s still the team to beat in the 2A WSL on Friday, stomping Aspen, 52-26.

The defending state champion Pirates improved to 7-0 overall and to 4-0 in league play, while the Skiers dropped to 5-2 overall and to 3-1 in league.

PEACH VALLEY, Colorado – Basalt edged Coal Ridge, 21-14, on Friday.

The Longhorns moved to 3-4 overall and to 1-3 in the 2A WSL. Coal Ridge is now 2-5 overall and 0-4 in league.
