Grizzlies midgets stay perfect with victory over Eagle
Ben Guska scored his fifth and sixth goals of the season to lead the Glenwood Springs midget hockey team to a 5-1 victory over the Eagle Valley Devils Friday at the Glenwood Springs Community Center ice rink.
Guska opened the scoring at the 10-minute, 38-second mark of the first period.
The Grizzlies turned the contest into a rout with four goals in the second stanza. Jesse Cline, Adam Hansen and Pat Reardon scored in the frame, before Guska tallied his second goal of the game in the final minute of the period.
The victory raises Glenwood’s record to 4-0 on the year.
The Grizzlies return to the ice Friday for a two-day tournament in Eagle.
