The Glenwood Canyon Shuffle, featuring a new 5-mile course starting and finishing at the No Name Rest Area, welcomed 51 runners and walkers on Saturday morning to the annual race benefiting the Literacy Outreach program in the Roaring Fork Valley.

With the traditional Canyon Shuffle offerings of a half marathon and 5K run being put on hold for this year due to the mudslide damage in the canyon, participants made their way from the start at No Name to a turnaround station located near the Vapor Caves in Glenwood, and then back via the same route to the finish line.

The overall winners on the day were Glenwood’s Josh Hejtmanek, with a time of 33 minutes and 34 seconds, and the top finisher in the women’s portion of the Shuffle was Heidi Vosbeck, also of Glenwood, who crossed the finish line in 41:16.
