Julich, Voigt repeat as Luk champs
Glenwood Springs High School graduate Bobby Julich and CSC cycling teammate Jens Voigt successfully defended their title at the Luk Challenge dual time trial in Buhl, Germany, on Saturday.Julich and Voigt covered the 74.2-kilometer race in 1 hour, 24 minutes, 12.84 seconds – 1:35.57 faster than the Gerolsteiner team of Markus Fothen and Sebastian Lang.”Jens and Bobby were well prepared and extremely motivated to repeat last year’s victory,” CSC sports director Kim Andersen said on the team’s Web site. “Both riders are in great shape ahead of the upcoming races. Jens is going to the Tour of Denmark, while Bobby will be at the Benelux Tour.”The other CSC team competing in the Luk didn’t fare as well.
