Weighlifting event raises funds for St. Jude’s Hospital

Jordan Copeland (199 pounds) deadlifts 550 pounds for first place at the "Lift Big for The Kids" weightlifting competition on Sunday. Les Gherardini of Rifle established the competition while Rocky Mountain Muscle Gym owner Justin Ray Aus hosted the event, donating all proceeds to St. Jude's Hospital. Copeland lifted a total of 1,335 combined pounds between three events, sweeping the competition in his weight class.
