Local Runners compete in annual Snowshoe Race

At the 24th annual Day of Infamy Snowshoe race at Sunlight Mountain Resort on Sunday, Wesley Toews (43:52.00), Eric Black (45:32.00), Heidi Vosbeck (52:29.00) and Sharon O’Grady (57:41.00) took first place in their respective divisions.

Toews, who won the 45 and under men’s division and was first overall, finished more than five minutes ahead of division runner-up John Liam (49:20.00). Justin Baum (52:04.00), Rob Buirgy III (55:00.00) and Bob Pazik (1:00:51) rounded out the top five in the 45 and under men’s race.

Following Black in the 46 and over division was Chad Johnson (54:53.00), Robert Thorsen (1:00:31), John Diemoz (1:07:24) and Mario Larouche (1:18:58) rounding out the top five.



Kim Montague (1:14:48), Robin Tolan (1:23:45), Lori Mueller (1:25:02) and Lori Boardman (1:26:54) rounded out the top five behind Vosbeck in the 46 and over women’s division.

In the women’s 45 and under division, Jessi Rochel (58:02.00), Erica Diemoz (1:01:49), Morgan Hill (1:02:53) and Kathryn Ruggles (1:04:06) rounded out the top five behind O’Grady.
