Lundin, Davies lead the way in Glenwood’s Mother’s Day Mile

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” More than 725 people showed up for this year’s Mother’s Day Mile, held Sunday on the streets of Glenwood Springs.

Gus Lundin captured the race’s overall crown, edging Marco Salmen by just two seconds. Lundin crossed the line in 4 minutes, 47 seconds.

Winning the female overall title was Deb Davies, who also claimed the fastest mom crown. She clocked in at 5:48 and finished just ahead of Myriah Blair (5:50).



Other top honors went to Adriana Ayala-Hire, who won the fastest grandmom title (7:31). Carolyn Prinster was the fastest great-grandmom (13:50).

This year’s Mother’s Day Mile recognized Garfield County First Responders. As such, awards were given to the top-finishing First Responders.



Amy Roggie’s 9:33 run rendered her the fastest female First Responder, while Timothy Lavin’s 6:26 landed him honors as the fastest male First Responder.
