MONTROSE – Seth Benziger supplied all the offense for Montrose.Benziger scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over Rifle in a nonleague boys prep soccer game held here Tuesday night. Rifle’s Adam Krick and Benziger tallied goals in the first half, but Benziger was the only player able to find the back of the net in the second stanza. Bears goalie Derek Roberts finished the night with 10 saves, while his Montrose counterpart, Scott Frazer, had nine savesWith the win, Montrose improves to 4-0 on the season. Rifle drops to 1-1.The Bears face another undefeated squad on their home field tonight when they open their Class 4A Western Slope League title defense against rival Glenwood Springs.
