Mother’s Day Mile coming up

Get that calendar out. The Mother’s Day Mile is coming back.

The third annual Mother’s Day Mile, a benefit for the Advocate Safehouse Project, will be held Sunday, May 12, in Glenwood Springs.

The event, which has blossomed into one of the running season’s highlight events, is open to all ages and abilities.



The event is sponsored by Glenwood Medical Associates. The race will begin and end at Glenwood Medical at 1830 Blake in Glenwood Springs.

Participants are invited to walk, run and bring their moms.



Competitive and recreational runners are welcome.

The race will be staged in waves, with the first wave set for 1 p.m. on May 12

All finishers will receive a rose and a piece of homemade apple pie.

Advance entry fee is $10 per person or $35 for a family.

Race day registration will be $12 per person ($40 for a family).

Corporate teams also will participate this year.
