Skiing: Wolf Creek will open today for season

Wolf Creek Ski Area opened on Sunday, Nov. 16, with six of eight lifts operating in preparation for its official opening day today.

The mountain opened with discounted lift tickets on Sunday and a 27-inch base.

Currently over 50 percent of mountain is open, with good conditions for early season skiing. More terrain will be available on Friday as conditions warrant.



For the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Wolf Creek will be in full swing with even more services available. A 75th Anniversary Celebration is scheduled for November 30th with a Vintage Costume Contest.

Runs like Treasure Stoke, Raven, Bonanza, Nova and Magic Carpet are now open, the Alberta Lift will be open for the season starting on Saturday. Resort restaurants will be open beginning on Saturday.



Lift ticket prices have been adjusted to the regular rate of $63 for adults and $34 for seniors and children.
