Drool hangs off the lower lip of Riley Cotton of the Boulder Junior Cycling team as he pedals up Airport Road south of Rifle during the first day of the three-day Colorado Mini Classic on Saturday. Cotton was competing in the 11-12-year-old age group of Saturday’s time trial, which drew close to 200 participants from Utah to Colorado Springs. The event concludes with a road race in Silt on Monday.
