Popoca, Bernal score two goals each, lead Glenwood to 7-0 win over Grand Junction Central
Traveling to Grand Junction Central High School early Saturday morning for a non-league matchup with the Warriors, the Glenwood Springs Demons boys soccer team rolled to a 7-0 win, thanks to two goals each from Kevin Popoca and Angel Bernal.
Joining Popoca and Bernal with goals were Jack Reinhold, Justin Garces, and Mitchell Burt with one each, with Burt’s coming on a corner kick from Alan Videla.
In the win, Reid Swanson, German Alvarado, Elihut Cruz, Carlos Rodriguez, and Reinhold dished out one assist each, while Videla recorded two assists.
In goal, Carlos Guardado recorded five saves for the clean sheet.
Glenwood Springs (6-0-1) travels to Rifle Tuesday night for a rivalry matchup with the Bears at 6 p.m.
