CARBONDALE, Colorado ” Four goals from Kathy Vega propelled Roaring Fork to a 4-3 girls soccer win over visiting Rangely on Tuesday.

The Rams closed the season with two straight wins after a rough start and finished 4-11-0.

“We started coming together,” Roaring Fork coach Ivone Munoz said. “We were more cohesive. We were communicating. It was fun to watch that confidence level go up.”

GYPSUM, Colorado ” Rikki Sours, Sandy Samson and Caitlin Clay scored goals as Rifle’s girls soccer team edged Eagle Valley, 3-2, on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper Jinna Harper kept the host Devils at bay as the Bears improved to 5-7-0 overall. Next up for Rifle is a Thursday home date with rival Glenwood Springs.

CRAIG, Colorado ” Rifle’s baseball team brought its season to a positive close with a sweep of host Moffat County on Tuesday. The Bears won by counts of 9-4 and 11-6 to end the year with a 9-10 record.
