Preps roundup: Roaring Fork girls lacrosse edges Aspen, stomps Summit in back-to-back games

The Roaring Fork High School girls lacrosse team is off to an impressive 5-0 start to the season after scoring a comeback 10-9 win over Aspen at home on Monday, and then returning to the home field Tuesday to clobber Summit, 20-4.

Down 5-2 against a defensive-minded Aspen team, the Rams team, which combines players from Roaring Fork, Basalt and Glenwood Springs, came charging back in the second half to grab the all-important 4A Mountain East conference win.

Senior Sophie Hodgson had four goals on the night, while fellow senior Adeline Nolan and junior Grace Garcia each contributed two goals, with one each from senior Sienna New and Angelina Montemayor.



Defensively for the Rams, senior Ari Chacos caused four turnovers, and juniors Lucianna Phillips and Paige Pulliman had three CTs each.

Stats had not yet been posted for the Summit game as of this writing. The Rams also stay undefeated in conference play at 4-0.
