Q&A with Demon Football Player Greg Orosz
Year in school: Senior.Position: Offensive lineman.How long have you been playing football? Since the second grade. Ten years. Have you always been an offensive lineman? I started out on defense and then went to the offensive line. Now Im stuck on the offensive line.Do you like it? Sometimes. It depends on what mood the coach is in.Whos your favorite football player? Id have to say Matt Lepsis, the ex-left tackle for the Broncos.What do you like about him? Just his tenacity. He always did his best every play.What do you like best about football? The impact. The hittings the best part.What do you like best about your team? Our cohesiveness.What did you guys do to build that camaraderie? Or did it come naturally? It just came naturally, since weve all grown up together.What do you like to do besides sports? More sports (laughs). Id have to say hunting and riding my ATV.How often do you get to do those things? I get to hunt I try to go every year. I get to ride my ATV every Thanksgiving, except for this year. We got out as a family for Thanksgiving, but we (couldnt) this year (because of the state title game). Thats a good thing. Its the one time Ill say its a good thing not to be able to go out and ride my ATV.Whats your favorite moment from this season? When Aaron Zancanella knocked a kids helmet off against Palisade.When did that happen? I think it was a kickoff and he ran down the field as hard as he could and picked out the person with the ball and hit him so hard his helmet flew off.Whats your favorite Thanksgiving food? Stuffing. Stuffings the best.If you could meet one athlete, living or dead, who would it be? Id like to meet Babe Ruth.What would you ask him? How he got the respect from everyone that he got, how he worked for it.Whats your favorite subject in school? Lets see here Id have to say history. Why history? It just comes naturally for me. I grew up in a history major family. Its always been easy for me to understand and comprehend history. Whats your favorite period to study? I like to study the different war eras, to see what led up to them and how they progressed.What do you want to do for a career? I wanted to be a chef, but Im pushing more towards a personal trainer now. Whats your favorite TV show? Id have to say Cops or Americas Most Wanted. We watch that every Saturday night, so What do you like about those shows? Um, the action. I like to see what kind of excuses (the criminals) give and see how badly they get hurt when they run away from the cops.
