Q&A with Demon Football Player Moses Galvan

Post IndependentGlenwood Springs, CO Colorado
Moses Galvan- RT

Year in school: Senior.Position: Offensive/defensive lineman. How long have you been playing football? Actually since the second grade. I missed my seventh grade year because I went to California and then from the eighth grade on Ive been playing.Do you like playing with your brother (wide receiver/defensive back Josh Galvan)? Yeah, definitely. Its awesome, dude. When he scores a touchdown, I can go up to him and go, Yeah, yeah. Thats my little brother. Yo, whats up?Do you like blocking for him? Yeah, its fun blocking for him. It gives you even more motivation.Do you like playing offense or defense better? I like both. On offense, if you overpower someone, its awesome. Watching your running back or quarterback score a touchdown is definitely awesome. With defense, getting that sack or that one play you need to win the game thats pretty awesome. Is hard playing both ways? Somewhat. Over time, your body adjusts. Youve got to drink a lot of water. This past game (against Mountain View) I didnt play defense. It was kind of weird, but still fun no matter what. As long as youre playing the game.If you could play in any college or pro football stadium, what would it be? Id have to say (pauses) Invesco (Field). Id like to play for a state championship there. That sucks that you guys dont get to play there for yours. I know. Its absurd, man. Whats up with that?Whats your favorite pro football team? Unfortunately its the Raiders. Theyre not doing so well, but they beat the Broncos. Thats a good thing. Theyve been my favorite team since day one.Are you from Oakland? I grew up in California. Im from Los Angeles. Ive always been brought up with the Raiders.Youre kind of in hostile territory (here in Colorado). You know what, it was really, really rough in middle school. The Raiders were kind of good and the Broncos were doing really well. Me and my friends would always talk a whole bunch of stuff to each other. So you must have enjoyed Sunday (when the Raiders beat the Broncos). Definitely, definitely. That definitely made my day.Whos your favorite football player? Id have to say Dakota Stonehouse. No, Im playing. Bill Romanowski. Hes so vicious, so mean. Whats your favorite college team? Im not really into college football. I would say my college team would have to be UCLA.
