Q&A with Demon football players
Year in school: Junior.Position: Defensive line.Have you always played defensive line? Last year I was a linebacker, freshman year I was a linebacker, moved to D-line beginning of this year.Why move to the defensive line? Getting slower. Put on the weight.How long have you been playing football? Four of five years now. So whats your favorite thing to do off the football field? Hang out with my girlfriend, Miranda Statler.Whos your favorite football player? LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego Chargers running back).Who’s your least favorite football player? Bill Romanowski is my least favorite ever. Hes a dirty player and I dont like playing against dirty players.Whats your favorite pro sports team? San Diego Chargers.Why San Diego? Born there and lived there for a couple of years. Always loved it. If you could play one football game on any pro or college field, which one would you pick? Probably Lambeau Field. There is a lot of history there.How long have you lived in Glenwood Springs? Two or three years now.Do you play any other sports besides football? I wrestle also.Whats your favorite? Football by far, yes. Its much more fun and you dont have to cut weight.Name one sport that you’ve never tried that looks like fun? Baseball. Ive played backstreet baseball but never a real game.What do you like best about the football team? Our chemistry. We just get along so well and its so much fun to play with these guys.What big sporting event would you most want to go to, like the Super Bowl or the World Series or something like that? Super Bowl with the Chargers in it. It would have to be the Chargers, in San Diego.Whats your favorite holiday? Probably Christmas.What do you like best about Christmas? Because you get so much school off. I dont care about the presents. I just dont want to go to school.Whats been your favorite part of your guys playoff run? How were fighting ever second of every game. How we are not giving up easily. We go to the ball, hit hard, and run fast.Are you surprised at how supportive the community has been? No, since Ive been here Ive noticed that even when the team wasnt doing so well everybody still showed up to the game. Just more people are showing up now. But the community has still supported the team no matter what.

So, quite a while.So whats your favorite thing to do off the football field? Eat and sleep. Whos your favorite football player? Terrell Davis. Who’s your least favorite football player? Philip Rivers. Im not much of a Chargers fan.Your teammate Josh Bower might disagree with you on that. He always wears his Tomlinson jersey around school and Im like, Dude, Im gonna slap you.Whats your favorite pro sports team? Broncos, hands down.Favorite college team? Probably the CU Buffs.Are you a Colorado native? I was born in California but I moved out here when I was really young, so pretty much a native.Do you play any other sports besides football? Track and field, so…Whats your favorite? Football, hands down.Name one sport that you’ve never tried that looks like fun? Tennis. Yeah, Id like to try tennis.If you could play one football game on any pro or college field, which one would you pick? Thats tough. Probably just Folsom Field at CU. That would be pretty cool, I guess, with all the locals.What do you like best about the football team? Pancaking Nick Ciani. (laughs) No, the best thing about this season is our chemistry and how we all get along.What big sporting event would you most want to go to, like the Super Bowl or the World Series or something like that? I think the Olympics would be pretty cool. That would be amazing. Or, maybe even World Cup soccer. That would be pretty cool.Whats your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving. I love to eat.What are you doing this Thanksgiving? Practicing football. Ill still eat a little bit. Ill be at home with my family.Whats been your favorite part of your guys playoff run? Thats a tough one. Playing against Berthoud. That was just such a crazy game. Yeah.Have you been surprised at the community support? Its awesome. They are all coming out and watching us play.
