FORT COLLINS – Erasing an 11-point third-quarter deficit, Jefferson Academy stormed past Roaring Fork’s boys basketball team, 48-44, in Thursday’s 3A state quarterfinals at Moby Arena in Fort Collins.

The Rams (17-8) will face Brush at 11:45 a.m. in Friday’s consolation semifinals.

Jake Strack-Loertscher, who battled foul trouble late, led Roaring Fork with 16 points and seven rebounds. Trae Moxley added eight points and eight rebounds.

Simeon Ukuni led Jefferson Academy (18-7) with 15 points. Julian Schmidt added 13 and Jason Propst finished with 10.

The Jaguars will face Valley in Friday’s 7 p.m. semifinal.
