Rifle Bears grapplers fare well at Utah meet
The Rifle Bears wrestling team posted a 4-2 dual record at the West Jordan, Utah, tournament held last weekend.
On Friday Rifle went 2-0 with a 37-24 win over Bingham and a 59-18 victory over Jordan. On Saturday the Bears downed Payson 38-33 and Orem 36-27. Rifle’s two losses came against Evanston, Wyo., (45-26) and a tight 33-29 match against Layton.
Rifle’s Anthony Alfini and Casie Dunlap both went undefeated at the tournament, while Eddie Kreimier, Cody Ward and Jesse Long finished with 5-1 records.
Rifle’s dual record is 6-2 on the season. The Bears host Moffat County tonight with action beginning at 6 p.m.
