Rifle downs Eagle Valley
Hosting the Eagle Valley Devils Friday at Bears Stadium in Rifle, the Bears came out on top with a 27-6 win for their third league win of the season.
Despite the 21-point win over the Devils, Rifle held just a 7-0 lead at the half behind three first-half turnovers before getting back on track in the second half to roll to the big league win, setting up a big rivalry matchup with the Glenwood Springs Demons next Friday at Bears Stadium.
Behind the big win Friday night, Rifle improves to 7-1 (3-0 3A Western Slope League) on the season. Rifle is currently on course to play for a league title in two weeks when it travels Palisade, Nov. 4.
