Rifle knocks regular season home with win

The Rifle baseball team ended its regular season in style on Thursday night, downing Eagle Valley 14-3 in Rifle.

Bryce Enewold led the Bears, going 3-for-4, scoring four runs, driving in another four runs and hitting a home run. Uriel Quezada went 2-for-3 with one run and three RBIs. Andrew Schmidt, Zach Whitmore and Steve Wilson knocked in two runs each for Rifle.

Eli Snead picked up the win, giving up three runs before the game was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Kyle Raaflaub pitched a four-hit, complete-game shutout as the Roaring Fork baseball team beat Basalt 1-0 Thursday night in Basalt.

A.J. Joiner drove in the Rams’ lone run when he scored Tyler Hunt in the fifth inning.

Roaring Fork (5-5 Western Slope League, 6-8 overall) will host Cedaredge in a doubleheader today at 11 a.m.
