Rifle wins home golf tournament; Glenwood places third
Hosting the Rifle Creek Tournament at Rifle Creek Golf Course Tuesday afternoon, the Rifle Bears girls golf team won its home tournament by 44 strokes over second-place Grand Junction (286), while Glenwood Springs (290) placed third in the tournament.
Montrose (296) and Palisade (313) rounded out the top five teams at Rifle Creek.
In the individual competition, Rifle’s Masi Smith picked up another win on the year, shooting a round of 75 to edge out fellow teammate Elly Walters, who shot a 78 on the day.
Grand Junction’s Gracie Olkowski placed third, shooting a round of 79, while Palisade’s Aly Shuman shot a round of 86 to place fourth.
Glenwood’s Callie Jones shot a round of 88 to round out the top five individuals at Rifle Creek.

Rifle, Palisade out-wrestle Glenwood at Demon triangular
Rifle High School wrestling won its matchup with Glenwood Springs Tuesday at the Glenwood triangular, while the Palisade Bulldogs took down both local teams.
