Rifle’s Leuallen knocks in nine in 20-5 win over Aspen

Brandon Leuallen and Eli Snead piled up the RBIs to help Rifle to a home doubleheader sweep over Aspen in summer league baseball action Friday.In the Bears’ 20-5 second-game victory over Aspen, Leuallen was 4-for-5 with a grand slam, two triples and a single. He racked up a whopping nine RBIs in the contest.Adam Krick was 2-for-3 with a trio of stolen bases in the game, and Snead also finished 2-for-3.In the first game, Snead was 2-for-5 and made both hits count. He cracked a three-run homer and also knocked in two runs with a single in the 13-5 victory.Kyle Bond was 3-for-3 at the plate. Bryce Enewold was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Asa Fix pitched a complete game for the win.Rifle improves to 20-5 on the season and heads to the Ogden (Utah) Pure Baseball Classic tournament Monday. The Bears open against the Northridge Canes based out of Layton, Utah, and also face opponents from Las Vegas, Arizona and other Utah squads.
