Roaring Fork routs Rangely, 18-8

CARBONDALE – Dan Markoya drove in four runs and Jake Boyle and Misael Fernandez each hit homers as the Roaring Fork Rams baseball team downed Rangely 18-8 in a six-inning, mercy-rule shortened contest here Tuesday.

Roaring Fork got out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning and never allowed Rangely closer than six runs in the Class 3A Western Slope League contest.

Markoya finished 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles.

Michael Emerson was credited with the win, pitching 42⁄3 innings before being relieved by Jake Bowman.

Roaring Fork hosts Aspen today at 4 p.m.
