Shifts, adds to prep game slate

Games for area high school spring sports teams have been added or changed to the prep schedule this week.

The revised slate of contests involve four baseball games, two girls tennis matches and two girls soccer games.

Changes include today’s Glenwood Springs-Roaring Fork girls soccer match at Stubler Memorial Field. The match will be played at 4 p.m. at Glenwood’s Stubler Memorial Field, and will be a scrimmage between the two teams rather than a game.

Also, Glenwood’s nonleague baseball game at Eagle Valley, orginally scheduled for May 4, will be played in Gypsum at 4 p.m. today.

On Saturday, Rifle makes up postponed contests against Thomas Jefferson and George Washington high schools at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at All City Stadium in Denver.

Finally, the Glenwood girls soccer team has a home, varsity-only league match on tap with Battle Mountain at 4 p.m. Saturday.
