Soccer fundraiser takes place in El Jebel on July 19

The inaugural Halesyeah Soccer Tournament, in honor of Haley Rinaldi, is set for Saturday at Crown Mountain Park in El Jebel.

A graduate of Aspen High School who went on to play collegiate soccer, Rinaldi died in a boating accident at Ruedi Reservoir in July 2013.

All proceeds from the tournament will go toward providing a scholarship to a student from Roaring Fork, Glenwood Springs or Basalt high schools who plans to play collegiate soccer.

Haley, the daughter of Billy and Tana Rinaldi and sister of Elli and Dominic Rinaldi, spent her collegiate soccer career playing for Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa, and later for Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she would have started her senior season in the fall of 2013.
