“Spin City offers the only roller rink between Denver and Salt Lake City,” said Lori Mizushima, marketing manager for Spin City. “It brings back the excitement of skating that so many of us enjoyed when we were kids.”
Skating is the main focus of the facility, and it is open to all ages and abilities. Admission costs $8 per person. Skate rental is $3 or quad rentals are $4. Prices are good for unlimited skating throughout the day. Skate lessons are available for all ages as well on Saturday mornings from 9-10 a.m. It costs $10 per person.
“We have a primary focus of being a family entertainment center,” said Antonio Gueretta, Spin City’s manager of operations. “We live in Colorado, and we are especially active in this area. It’s great to get out and have fun as a family here.”
According to operators, the business focuses on three “pillars” including health, safety and fun. Lessons are suggested for folks new to the sport, and skating for an hour can burn up to 600 calories.
“It takes baby steps to learn how to skate,” Gueretta said. “Don’t take too big of steps since you do have wheels on your feet.”
