Spring youth soccer registrationsThe Carbondale Soccer Club is accepting registrations for boys and girls U6-U14 divisions for its spring season, scheduled to begin on April 4, 2005. Registration forms can be picked up at the Carbondale Recreation Department offices at Carbondale City Hall, at local schools and from the Soccer Club.Information: 704-1838; climbing competition setThe mid-winter Hour Of Power IV Bouldering competition will take place at the Glenwood Springs Community Center’s climbing wall on Friday, Jan. 7.Male and female competitions will be held for climbers ages 7-11 (ultra juniors), 12-19 (juniors) and 20 and-above (open).Entry fee is $17 for juniors and $20 for the open division.Registration will be held the day of the event. The climbing wall will be closed on Jan. 5-6 to set up for the event.Information: 384-6301.Public skating available New Year’s weekendThe Glenwood Springs Community Center ice rink will be open for public skating on Friday, Dec. 31, and Saturday, Jan. 1, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Evening skating hours are different on both dates. The rink is open for public skating from 6:45-7:45 p.m. Dec. 31 and from 6-7 p.m. Jan. 1.Information: 384-6301;
