Youth Soccer Report

A 3-2 win over the Basalt Wildcats Saturday at Gates Soccer Park moved the Glenwood Red U-12 boys record to 2-0-1 on the 2005 fall season.

Sebastian Key scored two goals in the victory for Glenwood. Drew Metzger had a goal along with an assist. Goalkeeper Alex Henderson made five saves ” all in the first half.

Glenwood is participating in a U-12 tournament at Gates Soccer Field this weekend.

Michaela Mansfield’s first-half goal allowed the Glenwood Ice U-12 girls to take an early lead over the Colorado Force from Castle Rock before the visitors scored in the second half for a 1-1 tie.

The Ice stands a 5-0-1 on the season, heading into tournament play this weekend in Vail.
