Youth Soccer Report

The Glenwood Ice U-12 girls soccer team raised their undefeated record to 5-0 on the 2005 season after two victories in Denver last weekend.

Facing the Colorado Storm Blue II, Corey Gera scored a hat trick in Saturday’s 7-1 victory at Dove Valley Park. Glenwood got additional goals from Holly Brown, Lilly McSwain, Hope Whitman and Sarah Davis.

The Ice concluded the road trip with a 4-0 shutout win over the Colorado Rush Roadrunners Sunday in Englewood. Jackie Knott, Savannah Pearson Gera and McSwain scored in the contest.



Glenwood hosts the Colorado Elite Saturday at Gates Soccer Park.

Ryan Buchanan netted three goals in a 7-0 romp over a team from the Thunder Mountain soccer club on Sept. 10 game held at Mt. Garfield Middle School in Clifton. Glenwood, 2-0, with the win, received additional help with goals from Kevin Hartmann, Nick Zilm, James Unger and Billy Steele.



Danielle Turley scored both of Glenwood’s goals in a 2-0 win over Breckenridge in a U-12 girls contest Saturday.
