$30,000 in grants awarded to Two Rivers area nonprofits

The Two Rivers Community Foundation has awarded $30,000 in grants to 12 local nonprofits serving Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and New Castle.
Grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 were distributed through the Two Rivers Unrestricted Endowment (T.R.U.E.) Grants Fund, managed in partnership with the Western Colorado Community Foundation.
The Western Colorado Community Foundation manages more than $187 million in assets and distributes over $8.3 million annually in grants and scholarships across its seven-county region. The organization works to build lasting connections that unite people, partners and resources to strengthen western Colorado for generations to come.
Funding from the T.R.U.E. Fund supports programs that strengthen families, promote education and enhance overall well-being throughout the Two Rivers area.
The 2025 grant recipients include College Outreach, Family Resource Center of the Roaring Fork Schools, FocusedKids, KDNK Community Radio, LIFT-UP, Literacy Outreach, Raising a Reader Aspen to Parachute, Roaring Fork Music Society Inc., Stepping Stones of the Roaring Fork Valley, The Meeting Place, UpRoot Colorado, and Valley Meals and More.
Community members are invited to attend a Grant Award Celebration from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. The event will feature stories from grant recipients and updates from committee members on the fund’s ongoing community work.
The T.R.U.E. Grants Fund was established in 2018 by community leaders as a permanent endowment to support nonprofits that make the Two Rivers area a better place to live. Through its partnership with WCCF, the fund continues to grow through donor support, with earnings distributed annually to local projects and programs.
