The Western Colorado Chapter received NARPMs New Chapter of the Year for the United States. Danciger of Carbondale has been ranked as ninth largest in registering the most Angus beef cattle in Colorado, having recorded 214 head of Angus with the American Angus Association during fiscal year 2007, which ended Sept. 30, according to John Crouch, executive vice president of the American Angus Association.Angus breeders across the nation in 2007 registered 347,755 head of Angus cattle.

Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co. recently won a medal at the 2007 Great American Beer Festival, the largest national beer competition in the United States. Winners in 75 categories were selected from a field of 2,793 entries received from 473 breweries. A silver medal was awarded to the Glenwood Canyon Brewing Co.s Dos Rios Southwestern Lager in the Vienna-Style Lager category. It was based on a recipe written in the 1800s by a well-known Mexican brewer named Santiago Graf. This particular brew also earned silver medals in 2002 and 2003. The brewers at Glenwood Canyon are Ken Jones, Chip Holland, Chuck Campagna and Todd Malloy.
