The city of Glenwood Springs is gearing up for a grand Independence Day celebration at Two Rivers Park. The event, slated from 4:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday promises a fun-filled evening for all ages. Festival entry is free, and many of the amenities are complimentary.
Given the expected turnout, attendees are encouraged to carpool, bike, or park and walk to the event. The closest row of parking stalls at Two Rivers Park will be reserved for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) parking only. Park-goers will want to stray away from the Devereux Bridge, which will be closed for construction during the event. There will be no access for pedestrians or bikes through this bridge. Visitors should use the U.S. Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 24 entrance to access the park.
The festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. with a range of activities. There will be a bounce house, axe throwing, lawn games, and face painting creations. Food and beverage vendors will be on site.
Live music begins at 5 p.m. with performances by Rodrigo Arreguin, as well as Hazel Miller & The Collective.
The night will conclude with a laser show at 9 p.m., lighting up the sky in celebration of Independence Day.
