Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park matched its total donation amount to LiftUp from last year during this season’s Gondola Giving fundraiser.

The adventure park gave a total of $7,345 in City Market gift cards to the nonprofit organization on Tuesday afternoon through their annual community fundraiser.

“Gondola Giving is an important part of how we give back to our community, and we are proud to support the LiftUp organization through this initiative,” Glenwood Caverns General Manager Nancy Heard said. “The work they do to provide relief for food insecurity and the work to end hunger for individuals and families does not go unnoticed.”

Guests that brought a $25 City Market gift card to the adventure park’s ticket office between Nov. 14 – 26 received four free gondola tickets, gift cards that went directly to LiftUp to help local families in need. According to the Glenwood Caverns website, a ride up the gondola costs $32.

“We’re super grateful that we have this yearly connection with the adventure park,” LiftUp Office Impact Manager Luis Palomera said. “Receving the gift cards every year doesn’t just help support our programs, but the entire community. It helps ensure that everyone can get what they need for the holidays.”

The Caverns began the Gondola Giving campaign in 2020 and has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the local nonprofit over the five years.

“We want to thank our guests, who really showed up for us this year, for making these donations,” Heard said.
Holiday meals will be available at LiftUp from Monday, Dec. 15 through Friday, Dec. 19 at specific pantries located from Aspen to Parachute. For more information, visit Liftup.org/calendar/.
