March 2, 1955 – October 24, 2025

Daniel J. Berry, 70, of Snowmass, Colorado, passed away on October 24, 2025. Born on March 2, 1955, Daniel lived a life filled with energy, warmth, and dedication to both his work and the people he loved. He had a passion for taking care of himself, working out every day, rain or shine, and engaging in activities such as a 5K run, riding his bike, or skate skiing at the cross-country course at the Aspen golf course. Dan was a man of passion and love, and he will be missed by countless people.
Known for his steady hand and perfectionism as an ice maker, Daniel took great pride in his craft. Whether at the rink, sharpening skates or in his own kitchen, his commitment to excellence shone through. He approached every endeavor—whether running, cycling, cooking, baking, or cheering on his favorite hockey and baseball teams—with enthusiasm and joy. From the Midwest to the Rocky Mountains, he worked tirelessly to keep Chicago churches operational and produced a World Record Ice Surface at the Olympic Ice Oval in Salt Lake City, UT – “Fastest Ice in the World”!
He has touched so many people in his life, from Chicago to Aspen to Korea to Salt Lake City and back to Aspen, Colorado, to relax and enjoy his home and his wife. Daniel will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Margo Cuttitta, and his brother, Tom Berry, along with countless family, friends, and colleagues who were touched by his kindness and humor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Daniel’s memory to the Valley View Hospital Heart Patient Support Fund (https://valleyviewhospital.app.neoncrm.com/forms/heart-patient-support).
Daniel’s legacy lives on through the warmth he shared, the friendships he built, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.
