Karla Faye Taylor passed away October 22, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Karla was born on May 7, 1961 to Jerry and Marcia Wold of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Karla spent most of her childhood growing up with her seven siblings in Eagle County. At the age of 20 Karla met the love of her life, Michael Taylor and they were married on September 11, 1982. They had two beautiful daughters Amy and Keddie. Mike and Karla bought a home and raised their little family in the small town of Gypsum, Colorado.
Karla had a heart for others and never hesitated to help a person in need. This was most evident by her 20 years of dedicated service with the Gypsum Fire Department. Karla rarely met a stranger and loved everyone within her community but nothing brought her greater joy than her family. She cherished her husband and took pride in her marriage, she loved her daughters endlessly and adored her grandchildren beyond measure. Her grandchildren are the heart of her happiness and her life’s greatest blessing. She treasured every moment spent in the presence of those she loved. Blessed are those that called her wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Karla is preceded in death by her grandmother, Velma McPherson and her parents, Jerry and Marcia Wold.
Karla leaves behind her husband, Michael Taylor, her children, grandchildren and many friends and extended family.
A celebration of life will be held November 17 at 11:00 AM at:
Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church, 116389 S. 4240 Road, Eufaula, OK. 74432
