October 22, 1968 – October 16, 2025

Todd Young, 56, of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, passed away on October 16, 2025, just shy of his 57th birthday. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, on October 22, 1968, Todd lived a life filled with passion, creativity, laughter, and love.
From an early age, Todd knew he wanted to be an architect—a calling that became a lifelong pursuit. He eventually founded his own architectural firm, a testament to his vision, independence, and talent. Beyond architecture, Todd was an artist whose watercolor paintings captured the natural beauty he cherished. His work reflected a deep appreciation for the harmony between nature and structure.
For more than 20 years, Steamboat Springs was Todd’s sanctuary. He taught skiing, explored trails, and found joy in every snowy slope and sunlit hike. Whether skiing, biking, or hiking, Todd was most alive outdoors.
Todd will be remembered for his infectious laugh—pure, unfiltered joy that could lift any heart. His humor and lightness of spirit made good times brighter and hard times easier.
Todd is survived by his loving family: his parents, Tuck Young and Susan Olivanti; his stepmother, Jill Young; his devoted wife, Doreen and his beloved son, Darden, the pride of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Kristin Young, her husband Ralph Robinson, and their daughters Kayla, Nicollet, and Lilli; his brothers, Travis Young and wife Erin, with their children Taylor, Luke, and Emory; and Trevor Young and wife Melissa, with their children Harper, Finley, and Landon.
Todd’s legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the art he created, the buildings he designed, and the love he gave.
