October 16, 1936 – October 23, 2024

Bill was born in Arvada, CO to Richard Torrence and Thais Laurie White. He spent some of his summers working on his uncle Frank and aunt Bubbles Starbuck’s west divide creek ranch where he met his future wife Charlotte Ann Dunn who’s parents also had a ranch on west divide creek. They were married on December 27, 1958 and spent the next 65 years together having 3 sons along the way. Bill attended the Colorado School of Mines and earned a degree in engineering. After college he worked for Schlumberger for a while but eventually went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation, where he would work until his retirement. Bill worked on many water projects including Flaming Gorge dam, Ruedi dam, Red Fleet dam, and many others. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding with Charlotte and their sons and grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife Charlotte and leaves behind his three sons, Bill (Deb), Rick, and Joe (Patti), along with 6 grandchildren, Ron (Nikki), Rae Lynn (TJ), Casey (Sammi), Melissa (Shane), Doog (Courtney), and Liz, along with 13 great grandchildren. We would like to thank all the staff at Grand River Health Care Center and Abode Hospice for all their help and care. We will be having a celebration of life for Bill on November 23 at the Grand River Health Care Center from noon until two, coffee and cookies will be served
