Robinson’s letter about Owens makes ‘cheap shot`

Sonya Doyal

Dear Editor,

I would like to respond to Leslie Robinson’s letter. It was nothing but a cheap shot for the Democratic Party.

Gov. Bill Owens said or did nothing that any rocket scientist could not figure out: many parts of Colorado are burning. In fact, President Bush (another Republican) declared Colorado a disaster area, which enabled Federal Emergency Management Administration money to become available to the people who needed it.

I wonder if we had a Democratic president, if he would have done the same, or just let Colorado “go with the flow.”

Sincerely,

Sonya Doyal
