The Carbondale Clay Center will host the national traveling pottery show: North American Dishmakers in the Artstream Nomadic Gallery from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the Clay Center parking lot. Nationally recognized potters from California to New York will be represented, including work by Doug Browe and Jan Hoyman, Andrew Martin, Lisa Orr, Linda Christianson, Steven Rolf, and Krista Assad. This is a rare opportunity to both view and buy work from these artists. A skate park is coming to Battlement Mesa, featuring a grind box, quarter-pipes and fun boxes. It is now being installed at St. John’s Middle School, 460 Stone Quarry Rd.
