The Segundo chairlift enters its final week at Sunlight Mountain Resort. Colorado’s oldest operating chairlift will be retired after the mountain closes for the season on April 6.

Sunlight Mountain Resort hosted an informal farewell party Friday afternoon for Colorado’s longest-running chairlift. The Segundo lift stayed open until 7 p.m., giving visitors and locals a final chance to ride and pay tribute. The celebration wrapped up with a performance by The Gnarbillys, a honky-tonk band from Golden, at the lodge.
