Music Under the Bridge

What: Kick off your weekend with free, family-friendly concerts held underneath the Grand Avenue Bridge from 4:30-7:30 p.m. each week until late September. The Jeff Rice Band will be featured on Aug. 15 followed by Feeding Giants on Aug. 22 and Party Party on Aug. 29. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Rifle Farmers Market

What: Rifle’s seasonal farmers market features an array of fresh products from artisan food vendors and local farms. Live music, a children’s area, playground equipment and more contribute to a family-fun outing that’s more than just a market.

When: 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, Aug. 22

How much: Free 

Music on the Mountain – Amanda V’s Material Girl Band

What: Grab a free ride on the gondola up to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for an evening of live music by Madonna tribute group Amanda V’s Material Girl Band. Material Girl’s high-energy act always includes something special, from costume contests to trivia. 

When: 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16

Where: Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, 51000 Two Rivers Plaza Road, Glenwood Springs

How much: Free. Donations are suggested.

Monday Pottery, One-Day Wheel Intro

What: Test out your pottery skills with a 2.5 hour teen and adult introduction to pottery class at the Carbondale Clay Center. The wheel introduction class, taught by rotating instructors, will cover pottery basics like centering, opening and pulling clay. 

When: 6-8:30 p.m. every Monday through Sept. 15

Where: Carbondale Clay Center, 135 Main St., Carbondale

Market on 7th

What: The farmers market is back in action in 2025 with the Market on 7th. Seventh street from Cooper to Colorado Avenues will be closed every Tuesday through Sept. 2 from 4-8 p.m., as local vendors and artists get a chance to shine. While getting the chance to support local businesses and produce, visitors will be able to enjoy live music, find homemade snacks and treats, and soak up the beautiful downtown Glenwood Springs area.

Third Thursday on Third

What: Through October, head to Downtown Rifle for Third Thursday on Third. The celebration features a different theme each month — August’s is Founding Day — as well as games, live music and of course, the town’s restaurants and shops. 

When: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 

Where: Downtown Rifle

How much: Free

Summer Garden Par-TEA

What: This free outdoor garden party is a celebration in honor of family caregivers and their loved ones. Hosted by the Sopris Lodge, Botany Houseplant Shop, Roaring Fork Home Care and Colorado Animal Rescue, the celebration will feature live music by Rodrigo, lawn games and a raffle that supports CARE’s Seniors for Seniors program. It will also include tea sandwiches, spritzers and treats inspired by the garden. The first 75 guests will receive a free potted plant and guided tours of the community will be available. 

When: 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23

Where: Sopris Lodge at Carbondale, 295 Rio Grande Ave., Carbondale
