Music Under the Bridge
What: Kick off your weekend with free, family-friendly concerts held underneath the Grand Avenue Bridge from 4:30-7:30 p.m. each week until late September. Hell Roaring String Band will be featured on Sept. 5, followed by Oran Mor on Sept. 12, Queen Bees on Sept. 19 and Wild Flight on Sept. 26.. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Rifle Farmers Market
What: Rifle’s seasonal farmers market features an array of fresh products from artisan food vendors and local farms. Live music, a children’s area, playground equipment and more contribute to a family-fun outing that’s more than just a market.

True West
What: In celebration of its 30th year, the Thunder River Theatre Company’s 2025-26 season kicks off with the show that launched the now-iconic organization — “True West.” Written by Sam Shepard and directed by Missy Moore, “True West” tells the tale of a sibling rivalry and the relationship between estranged brothers Austin and Lee. “True West” runs at the Thunder River Theatre Company until Sept. 14.
When: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, Saturday, Sept. 6, Sept. 11-13, and 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, Sept. 14

September First Friday
What: Head to downtown Carbondale for an evening of community, live music and special events. This First Friday features the first ever Bonedale Flea Market, where visitors can shop from local creators, find unique vintage items and indulge in culinary creations. After browsing the market, enjoy live music by Tommy the Animal in Chacos Park, watch Mt. Cirque Arcobats travel up and down main street, visit local shops and much more.

Raftoberfest
What: Float down the Colorado River before enjoying a beer festival with Whitewater Rafting, LLC at the seventh annual Raftoberfest. Proceeds benefit the adult cancer community.
When: 1:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6
Where: Whitewater Rafting LLC, 2000 Devereux Road, Glenwood Springs

Dressed to the K9s
What: Support Colorado Animal Rescue while enjoying food, drinks and entertainment — like a canine fashion — show at Dressed to the K9s. This year’s gala is also a celebration of 25 years of CARE serving the local community.
When: 5:30-9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6
Where: The Arts Campus at Willits, 400 Robinson St., Basalt

Monday Pottery, One-Day Wheel Intro
What: Test out your pottery skills with a 2.5 hour teen and adult introduction to pottery class at the Carbondale Clay Center. The wheel introduction class, taught by rotating instructors, will cover pottery basics like centering, opening and pulling clay.
When: 6-8:30 p.m. every Monday through Sept. 15
Where: Carbondale Clay Center, 135 Main St., Carbondale

Watershed Explorers: A Field Trip into Our Water World
What: Join the Silt Branch Library and Middle Colorado Watershed Council for an adult educational field trip. Learn about the importance of watersheds accompanied by a walk around Lion’s Pond.
When: 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13
