Halloween Costume Ball
What: Hotel Colorado’s Halloween Ball returns on Oct. 24 for a spooky evening of costumes, horror movies, ghost tours of the hotel, drinks and dancing to DJ Star. The Halloween Ball is a 21+ event.
When: 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24

Halloween Spooktacular and Spooky Skate
What: Head to the Glenwood Springs Community Center for the annual Halloween Spooktacular. Join the KPOP dance party, strap on your skates for the spooky skate or enjoy ice skating for the first time this season with a spooky twist. The Spooktacular also features carnival games and prizes, a haunted maze, Little Monsters Zone, bounce houses, photo booths and more.
When: 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25
Where: Glenwood Springs Community Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road, Glenwood Springs

Nuestras VOCES: ANHELO un café con estrellas
What: Creative nonprofit VOICES comes to the Ute Theater for the first time with a devised theater production created in Spanish (English translation services will be provided). Celebrate community and storytelling while sipping on coffee and nibbling pastries at “ANHELO un café con estrellas,” which highlights the dreams and voices of local Spanish-speaking creatives.
When: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 and 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26

Recording Time (with Scraps and Words), Fluid Landscapes, and Intimate. Immensity. in the Carbondale Arts Gallery
What: Visit the Carbondale Arts Gallery and explore three new exhibitions that creatively document landscapes, emotions and touch: “Recording Time (with Scraps and Words)” by Courtney Kenny, “Fluid Landscapes” by Michael Kinsley, and “Intimate. Immensity,” by Laura Dortmans.
When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday until Oct. 30

Mountain Valley Developmental Services Sneaker Drive
What: Mountain Valley Developmental Services is raising money for its day programs in Glenwood Springs, Silt and Minturn through an athletic shoe drive fundraiser. MVDS will earn money based on how many pairs of used, gently worn and new sneakers are collected from Friday, Oct. 10 to Nov. 11. Through the sneaker recycling organization GotSneakers, sneakers not approved for resale will be recycled.

Artful Adventures
What: Bring your child to the Glenwood Springs Community Art Center for creative adventures each early release Wednesday. Children ages 11 to 17 can learn new techniques, build their artistic skills and explore new materials throughout the 11 session program.
When: 2:30-4:30 p.m. every Wednesday until Dec. 17, except for Nov. 26.

Karaoke Night
What: Head to the Black Nugget for a weekly karaoke night every Wednesday. Sip a crafted cocktail and enjoy the show, or grab the professional microphone and take a turn in the spotlight.

Bonedale’s Halloween Spooktacular
What: Head to Carbondale for a collaborative Halloween celebration supporting the Crystal Theatre Alliance, Thunder River Theatre Company and KDNK Community Radio. The Spooktacular includes a costume contest, costume dance party — featuring Mugsy Fay, Sweet Jessup and the Dirty Buckets and KDNK DJs — and a screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Crystal Theatre with the Roaring Fork Divas. A Rocky Horror Picture Show goodie bag is included.
When: 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31
Where: Crystal Theatre, 427 Main St., Carbondale and Thunder River Theatre Company, 67 Promenade, Carbondale
