2 campgrounds at Ruedi close due to lack of water

The White River National Forest has closed both the Little Maud and Mollie B campgrounds at Ruedi Reservoir for the season due to the fact that they no longer have water.
“The water well supporting the campgrounds on the northwest side of Ruedi Reservoir is not producing enough water,” a press release states.
Little Mattie and Ruedi Marina campgrounds both have pit toilets, so are able to remain open without water.
The boat ramp at Ruedi Reservoir has been closed since Aug. 4 because of low water levels in the reservoir.
Wells supporting several other campgrounds on the White River National Forest have not been producing enough water for a majority of the summer — that includes wells at Peak One, Lowry, Prospector, Windy Point and Marvine campgrounds.
“The White River National Forest continues to encourage campers across the Forest to fill their RV water tanks before arriving at campgrounds to help conserve water,” the release states.
