‘Visceral Alchemy: Fine Art + Tattoo’ at Carbondale Arts

What: A new group invitational exhibition curated by Sarah Overbeck and Matt Hays will be on display at the Carbondale Arts Gallery from May 29 to July 3. Featuring several different artists, this exhibition explores the fine art behind tattooing and examines the relationship between personal and professional art forms. On Saturday, May 30, guests can see the featured artists flex their tattooing skills outside of the Launchpad during walk-up sessions open to those 18 or older. 



When: Opening reception: 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 29. Walk-up tattoo sessions: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 30

Full Throttle Dance Company’s Dance Spectacular

What: Stop by the Ute Theater and Events Center for four unforgettable shows at Full Throttle Dance Company’s Tenth Annual Dance Spectacular. Each performance is a celebration of the hard work of Full Throttle dancers and instructors over the last ten years and features a variety of choreography and styles. 

When: Showtimes at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, May 29; Showtimes at noon and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 31

Where: Ute Theater and Events Center, 132 E. Fourth St., Rifle

How much: $15 for adults and $12 for children and seniors. Children young enough to sit in a lap are free. 

Pride Month Kickoff with the WindWalkers Herd

What: Kick off Pride Month by creating a flag or poster for Carbondale’s Pride Parade on June 5 at the Windwalkers Equine Center on Sunday. This free event is open to all LGBTQ+ community members, allies and friends. Supplies, and horses, will be provided. 

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 31

Line Dance Class at Townline Trucks

What: Grab a friend and some boots and get ready to dance with a free class hosted by RFV Line Dance at Townline Trucks. 

When: 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 4

Where: Townline Trucks, 111 Main St., Carbondale

How much: Free

Carbondale Public Art Commission Art Around Town

What: Join the Carbondale Public Art Commission for the premiere of the 2026 annual rotating sculpture show, “Art Around Town.” Explore the exhibition’s 15 new sculptures during the Art Walk, a walking tour where community members will be accompanied by several of the show’s artists, on June 4 at 5:30 p.m. Celebrate with the Carbondale community after the Art Walk with an Artists Reception at 7 p.m. at the Marble Distillery. 

When: 5:30 – 9 p.m. Thursday, June 4

Where: Carbondale Town Hall, 511 Colorado Ave., Carbondale

June First Friday, “Local Pride”

What: Head to downtown Carbondale for a June First Friday celebration of local pride featuring a Pride Parade, live music, food trucks, street activities, games and more. 

When: 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 5

Where: Main Street, Carbondale

CCC’s Pairings

What: The Carbondale Clay Center joins artisan-made drinkware with handcrafted beverages in  its local event “Pairings.” Purchase a mug or cup from the exhibition and redeem it for a beverage from drink partners including Marble Distillery, Carbondale Beer Works, El Dorado, Pollinator Chocolate or more during Carbondale’s First Friday. 

When: 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 5
