Roaring Fork Schools has announced Alida Haslett as the next principal of Bridges High School, beginning in the 2026-27 school year, according to a district news release.
Haslett has worked as an educator in the Roaring Fork Valley for more than 12 years, with extensive experience in special education and alternative education campuses. She most recently served as dean of the Rebound program at Yampah Mountain High School, according to the release.
Haslett holds a master’s degree in special education from Western Colorado University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Roanoke College in Virginia.
“I am excited and honored to join the Bridges High School community as principal,” Haslett said in the release. “Bridges’ commitment to relationships, student growth, and creating meaningful pathways for every learner is exactly what I believe in as an educator. I look forward to supporting and celebrating the amazing work already happening within the school and community.”
Haslett was selected through Roaring Fork Schools’ established hiring process for school leaders, according to the release. The interview committee included certified and classified staff, district leadership and a separate student panel made up of Bridges High School students.
Committee members noted Haslett’s experience as an educator and described her as a calm, caring and confident leader who understands the school’s student population. They also highlighted her commitment to continuous improvement, reflective leadership and knowing students individually while supporting them in reaching their full potential, according to the release.
“We are thrilled to continue and expand on the great work and leadership that outgoing principal Suzanne Fitzgerald has done at Bridges,” Stacey Park, assistant superintendent and chief academic officer, said in the release. “Haslett is an inspiring and thoughtful leader who brings a wealth of alternative education campus experience, and we’re excited for what’s to come.”
