Carbondale Clay Center announces winter programming

Carbondale Clay Center will provide a number of events this holiday season.

Carbondale Clay Center has announced its festive lineup of winter programming and annual traditions to celebrate the season.

“Our team at Carbondale Clay Center is so excited to celebrate the holiday season with our community,” Angela Bruno, executive director of Carbondale Clay Center, said in a press release. “From holiday shopping to programs for the whole family and hands-on artistic experiences for ceramic artists and art enthusiasts, we love offering creative opportunities and can’t wait to share what more we have in store for 2026.”

Holiday Invitational Exhibition

  • Carbondale Clay Center and The Main Street Gallery & Framer
  • Opening Reception on Friday, Nov. 14, 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Nov. 10 to Dec. 23

Shop this annual holiday show for gifts from celebrated local and national ceramic artists. A special flash sale will also be offered only on Monday Dec. 22, and Tuesday, Dec. 23.



Ornament Painting

  • Carbondale Clay Center
  • Thursday, Dec. 11, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

This family event has special prices so young shoppers can also give the gift of handmade ceramics.

28th Annual Cup Auction

  • Old Thompson Barn at River Valley Ranch
  • Members’ reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11
  • Open to the general public from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, with bidding ending at 8:30 p.m.

A beloved Carbondale tradition featuring one-of-a-kind ceramic mugs by artists from across the country and an after party on Friday with DJ Benny starting at 8:30 p.m., once bidding is concluded.
