CMC Rifle campus to host graduation ceremonies in May

Colorado Mountain College Rifle campus will host three commencement ceremonies on May 1 and 4. 

Almost 2,000 students are expected to graduate this spring semester, and the college will host 17 ceremonies, including commencement and program-specific events from April 24 through May 4. 

General commencement is set for 5 p.m. on Friday, May 1, in Clough Auditorium at CMC Rifle campus. Keynote note speaker Russ George, a Rifle native, is a former Colorado Speaker of the House. George has served as a representative in Colorado’s House District 57, director of the Colorado Department of Wildlife, Colorado Department of Transportation and president of Colorado Northwestern Community College. 



The high school equivalency and adult high school diploma commencement will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, at Clough Auditorium at the CMC Rifle campus. The keynote speaker will be Laura Hardman, CMC assistant dean of instruction and Glenwood Center administrator. Hardman earned her master’s degree in literacy, language and culture, and has served in her current role for 12 years. 

The high school concurrent enrollment commencement will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 4, at the Clough Auditorium at the CMC Rifle campus. The keynote speaker will be Yesenia Silva Estrada, CMC vice president of planning and chief of staff. Silva Estrada works closely with the CMC president, board of trustees, senior leadership, faculty, staff and external partners to align planning, policy and resources to the college’s priorities.
